New Hardware LTDs!

The highlight of this month’s NPD report wasn’t the ranking charts—it was the updated lifetime sales (LTDs) for a lot of hardware. It all started with this tweet from Mat Piscatella:

The Switch is only 1.1million units behind the PS2, meaning it will pass it for sure in the US. That is huge news. We also learn from the above tweet that the PS5 is tracking 7% ahead of the PS4, which is awesome for PlayStation.

We also have confirmation that Xbox Series has passed the OG XBox:

In a couple of other exchanges with John Welfare, Mat disclosed other LTDs as well:

Total life-to-date sales totals:

PS2 - 46.5 million
X360 - 42.7 million
Wii - 41.7 million
PS3 - 26.7 million

That puts Switch at 45.4 million units LTD. I expect it to overtake the PS2 by the end of the year.
