Switch has reached 150.86 units LTD
Switch sells 4.82m units during Q3 (30% down YoY)
Switch LTD sales have reached 150.86m
Switch hardware forecast was revised down again, this time from 12.5m to 11m. The Switch is slowing down and has at least just one more quarter to itself before Switch 2 likely releases. Software was also reduced by again this quarter by 10m units from 160m to 150m.

Coming up on the end of it’s eighth year on the market, the Switch is still has a very active base that buys games and use their consoles (at least once a year).
Nintendo projects to sell 1.46 million Switch systems in Q4 (January to March 2025). I think that’s certainly doable. And if they make it, Switch will be at a total LTD of 152.32. If they hit that target, the Switch will reach a lifetime total of 152.32 million units. By then, we’ll have a clearer picture of the Switch 2, and the real analysis can begin on how Nintendo can position the Switch to overtake the mighty PS2.
