The Switch has its best June ever in Japan

The Switch is selling incredibly well in it’s seventh year on the market. We covered Week #26 and Week #27 - two random 100k+ unit selling weeks for the console.

It turns out the Switch had a record-breaking month of June. This from Stealth’s on twitter:

The Switch is putting up 100k+ weeks during the slow summer months and had it’s best June ever. More from Stealth:

The last sentence is key - it’s unprecedented for a console to sell like this so late in its lifecycle. It will most certainly become the best selling console in Japan ever, beating out the mighty Nintendo DS - the last reported figures for the juggernaut of a handheld sits at 32.99 million units. The Switch is about 3.2 million units behind the NDS and closing in fast. Nintendo has a strong holiday line up incoming with Super Mario RPG and Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

And mind you, the Switch hasn’t even had a price cut yet…
