Random thoughts on that latest Tears of the Kingdom trailer…

Our reaction to the latest Tears of the Kingdom trailer:

  • “Leave no survivors!” Ganondorf, our favorite character in the series here at Kenchron, is back and he has no chill. We are going to fight the man himself; a proxy this time around!

  • All blood moon, all the time? The blood moons in this game look to be far more INTENSE this time around!

He awakens!

  • The enemies have horns, helmets, and other pieces of what looks to be armor. Will enemies have a defense stat in the game based on their armor or will enemy HP be unaffected?

  • Link has homing arrows.

Gleeok is back and looking for revenge on The Bridge of Hylia?

  • Link’s arm incorporates all the Shiekah slate powers or is this some other power that Zelda alluded to at the end of the trailer? The 'green’ energy?

  • Hyrule Department of Transportation - Link is driving cars, hovercrafts, and hot air balloons now; Nuts & Bolts style.

Link vs. Tetris

  • The verticality looks to be off the charts - more than the first game before it. The transition looks to be impressive but may be hidden by a cutscene.

Since many players were creating Stasis vehicles in BotW anyways… why not!?

We cannot unsee the Ouroboros’ spine resembling tire tread after watching this trailer…

Blood moons seem like they may be more eventful in this sequel

Enemies wear horns, helmets, and armor pieces - will enemies now have an armor rating or defense stat?

From this point on, we will be avoiding any info on this game going forward. And art book leaked and showed off a lot of spoilers reportedly - and we’d like to avoid that at all costs. We also suspect Nintendo will have a Direct blow out at some point to really showcase the game some time before launch.

Anticipation in through the roof with this one. We’ll talk sales projections in a later post.
